the Great American Downtown Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, supporters and stakeholders in the third-floor Auditorium of City Hall for our annual public meeting. We present prior to the annual State of the City meeting. Our portion will be — pm, generally lasts 45 minutes, with a Q-and-A period at the end. This multimedia presentation takes place each February for date and showcases progress made in the year, and plans to grow in the year ahead. The community garden is a fenced-in area beside the Nashua Heritage Rail Trail, bringing beauty and value to a ly unsightly area.

The NashuaStreetPianos project is the culmination of eight months of preparation, dreaming, enthusiasm, and expression, made possible with the support of the City of Nashua as well as many generous businesses and individuals. There are three upright pianos, festively painted by local artists, scattered along Main Street. Stop and play a tune! Sing a song! Share a musical moment with passersby! Sincethese Street Pianos have made downtown sound even better.
For more than 25 years, The Taste of Downtown Nashua offers a fine pairing of retail establishments and restaurants, creating a one-of-a-kind experience. During this tasty event, visitors get up-close-and-personal with the chefs from award-winning restaurants, while exploring downtown shops. Flavors abound, from savory to sweet; there is something for everyone! And with more than 25 restaurants and caterers participating, you are likely to discover a new eatery to add to your list of favorites. To add to the festivities, there are street musicians to keep you entertained as you walk from store to store, plus prizes, giveaways, raffles and a popular scavenger hunt — The Hot Spot Challenge.

Each year, more than 30 scarecrows deed by Downtown businesses and organizations are on display up and down Main Street. Everyone is invited to create and display a scarecrow, representing their business or organization, something spooky, something funny — or all of the above! Winners will be chosen, and those recipes will be baked and featured at our downtown bakeries!
Imagine your cookies being on sale at a participating Downtown Nashua bakery! Winners will have their cookies featured on the menu of those locations, for people to enjoy on National Cookie Day, which is Dec. The cookies will be prepared by the bakers at the business fresh that day! You will also receive a special trophy, and be featured on our website and social media!

The evening is recognized as the largest community event of the year in southern New Hampshire.

Sincefamilies, friends and neighbors have gathered in the closed-off street in front of City Hall to dance the warm summer night away! Attendees enjoy free lessons from local dance instructors, music fills the air, and all are invited to DANCE! For three summer months, each event will focus on a specific cultural style of dance. Instructors will be there to show you the basics for an hour; then our guest musicians will heat up the night with two minute sets:. These events are free but ticketed, to limit the of people in attendance toto ensure enough room to allow for participants to maintain physical distancing.
Mask wearing will be required of all those in attendance, aside from performers. This event, and the event health and safety plan have been developed in partnership with the Nashua Dept. Please be aware that we continue to monitor the conditions of COVID spread in Nashua and NH, and in the event that conditions change this event may be cancelled at the recommendation of Public Health.
